My son was flying in the awaks with aireal support and back up for this mission. He told me of this - but these accounts from those on the ground are so chilling and more real. It is so hard to hear these words - but so important to hear them also. To not get complaicent in my comfortable life - but to appreciate every minute that these incredible young men and women are over there giving their all just so I can continue to enjoy my life. There are not words to say thank you enough. I keep you all in my prayers every minute of every day. To lay down your life for another is the greatest gift. God's blessing and love upon you all.

My Grandson, Stephan M. was one of the 8 killed at COP Keating. Their commander, Capt Porter, on a ITN video indicated that he was there because he was told to be there. No troop in that interview had any idea as to why they were there. I'm outraged that the Army had no regard for their lives. It mirrors the disaster at Wanat in 2008 which is being re-investigated undr presure from Senator Webb. The Army left-out a few details in the first report. I will pursue this in some manner. (See "earwitness account")

The problem is: That's the only place to put your bases. These areas are incredible. Locals build their homes into the mountainsides. So, if you are following the strategy instituted in 2006 - which essentially called for platoon-sized elements to live "within the population" - there's no where else to put the COPs.

It is so strange that with all this high training and equipments, the U.S. army would stick iits soldiers in pits like these, a deadly bowl, dead end, low alternatives, no adequate support, or even slow and weak support.... do the military brass still underestimate the enemy that is supposed to have deffeated the mighty unforgiving heartless russian army, or did they forget 9/11 ???
people this the third world war, wake up, and be sure that no one can win against these terrorist murderers other than the US and all the free world countries must give full support. GOD bless these soules that were lost, and I'm sure that with much more wisdome and serious thinking and work, the free world will win in the fight against opression and fanatism.
